640 Spring Canyon Lane, Nipomo, CA 93444

$1,450,000
Escape the 2020's, at least when you're home, and be transported back to the early days of old South County. Purposefully and painstakingly built to be a hand-hewn snapshot in time, the exteriors are built from the materials of a century ago. The naturally weathered redwood siding, of varying widths, the native Nipomo oak and stone, right down to the individually handmade redwood fence pickets, the magical property affords a transformative feeling of those simpler times of homemade ice cream and lemonade and squeaky screen doors. Even the detached garage and storage room has shelves from harvested onsite oak wood. An expansive lawn, 2 patios with fire bowls and a creekside gazebo complete the experience. Time to go inside? Enjoy the modern conveniences of the roughly 2100 sq ft 3 bedroom (1 now a study), 2 bath main home's well-appointed kitchen, dining room and comfortable living room, accented by the stairway banister and rails, made of oak wood taken from the property. While the required ceiling fire sprinklers provide modern protection, they mimic the exposed plumbing for gas lighting from homes of a century ago. Water well worries? Not here, the hoa fee pays for a share in the Rancho Nipomo Water Company. Call it a day and retire to the generous master retreat with open beam ceiling, balcony and reading nook. Company? There's a good-sized bedroom with sitting area for them, too, both master and guest with ensuite baths. More company?? They'll love the roughly 450 sq ft guest house with modern kitchen, clawfoot tub and cozy fireplace with native Nipomo stone chimney. (Total square footage listed is the Assessor's total for both homes. ) Need to do more than just relax and play? The 40 avocado trees, assorted fruit trees of about a dozen varieties, landscaping, attached shop at one end of the home and attached bonus room/office/craftroom at the other, should keep you just busy enough! Ready to make the move?
